San Valentino
Bout time I posted something new on here so I’ll write a bit about Valentine’s Day. Erica took me to see IFMA Freestyle Motocross at the Delta Center in Salt Lake. Now, anyone who really knows me would guess that this was quite a departure from our usual sort of date activity, and they would be right. Erica decided to find something new for us to try out and I have to say it was a pretty good success. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I saw a commercial for it one evening on the tellie and sussed it. I have to admit that at first I wondered what she was thinking spending $75 to take us to something neither of us had ever expressed any interest in. She certainly has guts though… I wouldn’t try something like that. I can only imagine what it would feel like to find out that the mud wrestling tournament I was going to suprise her with wasn’t quite up her alley. That may sound extreme but in reality that’s about how big a departure something like motocross is from our usual pastimes. Anyway, it was a lot of fun in the end and we both came home exhausted and dusty. We had seats just right of center and only three rows up so we were treated to an excellent view of the stunts. I neglected to mention that we prefaced the trip to Salt Lake with dinner at the new Greek place in our neighborhood, which was excellent, so all in all it was a pretty good evening. My gift to Erica pales in comparison, I think, but she seemed happy with it… I gave her two seasons of Friends on DVD.
